The prismatic molded plastic of the DF-24 panel is designed to diffuse acoustic energy throughout a given space.  While sound absorbing fiberglass panels or acoustic foam are effective for absorbing acoustic energy, they can sometimes leave a room sounding dead or lifeless. The multiple facets and angles of the DF-24 maintain a true "live" sound by redirecting and redistributing sound waves throughout the room.  This also helps to eliminate hot-spots and dead-spots.

The DF-24 comes molded in white or black but can easily be painted with most popular paints and finishes.  It is light weight, allowing for easy installation with construction adhesive, nails, staples or screws.  For use overhead, the DF-24 fits neatly into a standard 2' X 2' ceiling grid.

An array of multiple DF-24 panels increases effectiveness at lower frequencies.  The light weight design also allows for easy installation with construction adhesive, nails, staples or screws.  The DF-24 will also fit neatly into a standard 2' X 2' ceiling grid.

The direct reflection measured from a single DF-24 diffuser panel over a smooth drywall surface at one meter:

125 Hz 250 Hz 500 Hz 1 kHz 2 kHz 4 kHz
-0 dB -3.1 dB -8.6 dB -8.5 dB -12 dB -3 dB

Key Benefits

  • Light weight provides easy installation
  • Fits into a standard 2' X 2' ceiling grid
  • Eliminates hot-spots and dead-spots to provide a "true" live sound

Note : The intricate shape of the DF-24 prohibits manufacturing from flame-retardant material.  Check local codes before installing a large number of these or any thermoplastic panel.  Some areas may require the application of a flame-retardant coating..
